1. LOBERIA: A small Island located at 2 miles of distance, where the Sea lions are, which are very curious and like to swim with people. At the bottom of the sea a great variety of invertebrates and fishes can be observed through the glasses with to sea lions. Coast Ride for interpretation of the marine birds, marine iguanas, and basaltic formations.

2. SHARK CHANNEL: Fissure formed by swelling of the magma chamber, white tipped. Reef sharks like to sleep on the bottom, which are totally harmless. Among the lava rocks we find ocean birds nesting.

3. THE LOVE CHANNEL: Another fissure, fantastic for photography, exceptional scenic beauty.

4. FRANKLINS BAY: Marine turtles, golden rays, eagle rays, Mangrove zone, where pelicans and herons nest depending on the time of the year.

5. LAS GRIETAS: 15 Minutes walk over lava rocks, where you can see Darwin finches, coast and lagoon birds, endemic and native vegetation. Las Grietas are the continuation of the sharks and love channel, only further in land, where the water is less salty. Here you can do cliff drives and swimming.

6. THE DOGS BEACH: This is an optional walk named after the great amount of dog crabs found there together with the biggest marine iguanas of Santa Cruz Island.

Land and air: Blue footed bobbies, masked boobies, pelicans , frigate birds, herons, shearwaters, crabs, sea gulls, finches, mockingbirds, etc.

Sea: Sea lions, sharks, marine turtles, marine iguanas, rays, sea urchins, sea cucumbers, coral algae, giant and blue eyes damsels, parrot fishes, hogfishes, sergeant mayors, angel fish, Creole fish, surgeon fish, blenny, streamer hogfish, etc.

* GALAPAGOS KAYAK TOUR ACADEMY BAY:

We meet at the “German’s beach”, right in front of the Finch Bay Hotel.
(Normally we meet at the office of the travel agency, but if the passengers stay at the Finch Bay Hotel or Waterfront Inn, we can start the tour at the “German’s beach”).
After a security talk we start kayaking on this bay where the water is really calm. A support boat will accompany us on the whole tour, in case somebody wants to get off the kayak.
After kayaking about two miles we get to the open sea, where the water gets turbulent. Getting to Franklin Bay we observe iguanas, sea lions and marine turtles. Crossing the mangroves along the Franklin Bay we see birds like pelicans and herons. We arrive at a cliff where blue footed boobies, frigate birds and gulls nest. We continue crossing the shark channel to the small beach “Punta Estrada” where we get off the boat to snorkel. Afterwards a buffet of fruits and drinks (water and juice) will be served to the passengers.
Next we will take a walk to the beach “Playa de los Perros” where we can observe a big colony of iguanas and sea lions.
Then, depending on the passengers, we either kayak back to the “German’s beach” or we go by boat.

The tour includes: Single or double kayaks, life vests, lunch box of fruits, english speaking guide, snorkeling equipment, transportation, water, support boat (fully equipped with all security systems and radio VHF communication system).

The tour doesn't include: Alcoholic drinks, accident and life insurance.

Attractions: we snorkel with sharks, manta rays, marine turtles, sea lions and a variety of fishes. We can observe birds such as blue-footed boobies, frigates, etc.
